Ground Grid Power, Explained

The Ground Grid Bumper Car 5BC-09 draws its power from the floor. A grid is laid into the arena, and a pickup under each car collects current as it travels. There is no battery swap, no charging queue and no downtime between sessions — the fleet is ready whenever the arena is live.

Each car seats two riders, runs a 230W drive at 48V and carries up to 150kg. The body is FRP over a steel frame, and the model ships with CE certification. At 1.95*1.15*0.96m it fits a modest indoor floor without swallowing the whole hall.

Floor Preparation and Grid Layout

A flat, level concrete floor is the base requirement. Grid panels sit on that surface, and the arena boundary follows the layout plan we prepare from your hall dimensions.

Send the usable floor size and the rider throughput you expect at peak, and we work out how many cars the arena can carry and how entry and exit should flow. Settling that number early avoids the two common mistakes: too many cars for the floor, or a queue that never clears.

Where the hall doubles as an exhibition or dining space, plan a cover for the grid between sessions so dust and spilled drinks stay off the contact strips. A simple roll-out mat over the panels is enough, and it costs far less than cleaning corroded contacts later.

Daily Checks and Spare Parts

A short walk before opening keeps a grid arena out of trouble. Staff confirm the floor is dry, the grid is clear of debris, and each car steers, stops and bumps as it should. Seat belts and bumper rubbers get a closer look, since those take the hardest wear.

Keep pickup shoes, bumper rubbers, wheels, belts and controllers on site. These wear first, and holding them locally means a car returns to service within a shift instead of waiting on a shipment.
