How Small a Site Can Hold Twenty-Four Riders?

Smaller than most operators believe. The YTCN-5C-09 turns inside a 6m platform, and the whole area to fence off, safety envelope included, is 8m. That is a corner of a plaza, the paved strip outside a hotel entrance, or one bay of a car park that has never earned its keep.

Twenty-four seats on a 6m circle is a tight arrangement, and it is deliberate. Riders still get a full circuit, full height and the full sense of occasion; the layout simply wastes less air than a big circle does.

Below that size, a smaller machine is the honest answer - a three-seat carousel covers the toddler end of the market in a space measured in metres rather than tens of metres.

Can a Carousel Go on a Roof or a Podium Deck?

Often, and rooftop work is one of the more interesting uses for this model. A deck that already carries foot traffic, plant and paving may well take a carousel, but that answer belongs to a structural engineer. You plan it before the ride ships. In narrow streets, covered courts and interior atriums the route in matters as much as the destination, so installation drawings and videos come with the ride, and our engineers can attend and handle the build if the site is awkward.

Because this model is compact, the components stay manageable. Sections come through a normal doorway, are assembled on the deck and checked as they go. Fast installation with minimal site work is one reason the ride suits places that cannot close for a fortnight of construction.

Indoors, the question changes: sound and sightlines matter more than weather. A carousel specified for indoor retail environments addresses noise and atrium fit directly, on much the same patch of ground.

The pattern is consistent. Places where a family is already standing around with time to fill do well: hotel grounds, town squares, plaza edges outside supermarkets, and tourism sites where visitors wait for a shuttle or a boat.

What those venues share is a captive audience and a shortage of things to do. A carousel turns a bored five-minute wait into a ticket, and it does so without a new building, a new car park or a new road.
