A First Pirate Ship for Young Visitors

Children's parks, kindergartens and indoor family centres share a problem: the classic pirate ship is the ride every child recognises, but full-size ships are built for teenagers and adults. The 5PS-05 solves that by scaling the format down to twelve seats and about three and a half metres of height, keeping the motion gentle enough for young riders while preserving the shape children already love.

It is designed as an introduction rather than a thrill. Kids who are too small for a large ship still get the rise and fall, the sense of speed and the feeling of riding something grown-up, and they leave wanting to come back for it.

Indoor Placement and Floor Loading

The unit weighs about 1.5 tonnes and covers roughly seven by four metres, which makes it realistic for indoor venues, mezzanine-level family centres and shopping mall attractions where a heavier ride would never pass a structural review. A level floor is the main requirement, and the drawings set out the fixing method so it can be installed without major building work. Ventilation and headroom around the swing arc are worth confirming early with the building's engineer.

Kindergartens and family entertainment centres operate under tighter supervision than open parks, and the ride fits that reality. Loading is quick with one attendant, the swing is slow and predictable, and children can be seated in a fixed order that staff can check at a glance. The result is a queue that moves without chaos, which matters when the guests are small and the adults are watching closely.

Supervision Ratios and Operator Training

Because riders are young, the operating rules matter as much as the machine. Training covers restraint checks, the dispatch routine, height and age guidance and the procedure for stopping the ride if a child becomes distressed. The manual sets out where an attendant should stand and how many staff are needed for a normal session, so a venue can plan its rota against a documented standard rather than an assumption.

Small Drive, Small Utility Bill

The drive draws 4.5 kW on a 380 V three-phase supply, which is modest enough to run through a long trading day without a noticeable jump in costs. For indoor venues where the ride may run continuously during opening hours, that low draw is a real advantage. It also means the ship can be added without upgrading the building's supply.

Delivery, Pairing and Family-Zone Planning

The lightweight structure ships easily and installs quickly, including in buildings where access is limited to a service lift or a standard doorway. Once running, it works best as part of a cluster: a kiddie coaster, a gentle wheel and this ship together give families a full circuit of rides in one part of the site. Venues that later want a larger attraction often keep the mini ship for younger guests and add a standard 24-seat ship for older children nearby.

Seasonal operators can also swap the dressing rather than the ride. A snow-themed mini ship built on the same compact frame lets a venue run winter events and summer trading on one set of logistics.
